This is the clear reaction of Washington (irony) to the decision by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office on July 28 to declare the activities of the US National Endowment for Democracy as “undesirable in the territory of Russia.” Vladimir Putin! Now you’ve really done it. You have had the temerity to declare our National Endowment for Democracy (NED), America’s most important Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to be “undesirable.” Where will this end? Don’t you respect our right, as a US Government-financed NGO, to meddle in internal Russian affairs? After all, we are the most important NGO of the world’s Sole Superpower. We can go wherever we want and do whatever we like. We are truly upset! (William Engdahl, Global Res. 7 Aug. 2017).
“Freedom House is an institution funded by George Soros. The Government of Hungary is not surprised to see such an institution attacking Hungary. (statement by the Hungarian government appearing on official website kormany.hu).
Freedom House Spokesman Robert Ruby told the Associated Press that the organization received no funds from any Soros-backed institution in 2016 and 2017, and that “the last such grant was received in 2015, for an amount that was less than 0.5% of the organizationʼs budget.” The Budapest Business Journal 4 April 2017.

There are 2 very subversive US-founded and funded NGOs which are constantly subverting and infiltrating countries which do not want to dance to Washington´s NWO pipe: The National Endowment and Freedom House. Here is a surprising list of donors to Freedom House.
Soros´Open Society enumerates Freedom House.
is a US Government-funded (N)GO.
It is a Soros project. Soros is Rothschild´s political trouble maker and and the universal enemy of mankind – inclusive his own Jewish tribesmen – see the Soros dossier . Freedom House is “funded by both the US government and Soros to provide support to pro-Western opposition movements,” writes Mark MacKinnon.
Soros´Open Society, Freedom House and NED (below) were the organizers of the White Russian revolution , his Arab Spring revolutions, on his Undermining of the Ukraine through the American Ukraine Advisory Committee, and his undermining of the EU by organizing mass immigration.
Soros has widely used Serbian OTPOR to undermine states.
Former Board members are NWO prophets like the past board-members have included Zbigniew Brzezinski, Jeane Kirkpatrick, Samuel Huntington, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz.
In the case of Hungary, Freedom House is entirely on Soros´side.
Freedom House says populism is a “threat to global democracy”, claiming that “xenophobia and religious intolerance” go against the “fundamental values of democracy”.
Another sign that “global democracy is in distress”, the report says, is that a number of countries held referendums in 2016. Deriding the votes as “a radical reduction … to majority rule”, it complains that direct votes circumvent “the structures and safeguards of democracy”.

The National Endowment for Democracy (NED)
F. William Engdahl 3 Aug. 2015: Carl Gershman, (Chairman of the the NED) said – absolutely openly – that the NED organization was intended to be a beautiful facade for distributing funds among opposition circles in foreign countries
The NED was created during the Reagan Administration (1983) to function as a de facto CIA, privatized so as to allow more freedom of action. Allen Weinstein, who helped draft the legislation establishing NED, said in a Washington Post interview in 1991, “A lot of what we do today was done covertly 25 years ago by the CIA.”
The NED was the brainchild of Reagan’s CIA Director, Bill Casey.
The 1980es were a remarkable period. Spurred by Watergate – the Church committee of the Senate, the Pike committee of the House, and the Rockefeller Commission, created by the president, were all busy investigating the CIA. Seemingly every other day there was a new headline about the discovery of some awful thing, even criminal conduct, the CIA had been mixed up in for years. The Agency was getting an exceedingly bad name, and it was causing the powers-that-be much embarrassment.
Something had to be done. What was done was not to stop doing these awful things. Of course not. What was done was to shift many of these awful things from the CIA to a new organization, with a nice sounding name – The National Endowment for Democracy. The idea was that the NED would do somewhat overtly what the CIA had been doing covertly for decades, and thus, hopefully, eliminate the stigma associated with CIA covert activities.
It was a masterpiece. Of politics, of public relations, and of cynicism.
Notice the “nongovernmental” – part of the image, part of the myth. In actuality, as is clearly indicated in the financial statement in each issue of its annual report. Virtually every penny of its funding comes from the federal government. But NED is a government organisation.
“It would be terrible for democratic groups around the world to be seen as subsidized by the C.I.A.
In effect, the CIA has been laundering money through NED.
In a multitude of ways, NED meddles in the internal affairs of numerous foreign countries by supplying funds, technical know-how, training, educational materials, computers, faxes, copiers, automobiles, and so on, to selected political groups, civic organizations, labor unions, dissident movements, student groups, book publishers, newspapers, other media,
Global Res. 7 Aug. 2017: NED programs generally impart the basic philosophy that working people and other citizens are best served under a system of free enterprise, class cooperation, collective bargaining, minimal government intervention in the economy, and opposition to socialism in any shape or form. A free-market economy is equated with democracy, reform, and growth; and the merits of foreign investment in their economy are emphasized.
From 1994 to 1996, NED awarded 15 grants, totaling more than $2,500,000, to the American Institute for Free Labor Development, an organization used by the CIA for decades to subvert progressive labor unions.
NED has funded centrist and rightist labor organizations to help them oppose those unions which were too militantly pro-worker. This has taken place in France, Portugal and Spain amongst many other places.
NED describes one of its 1997-98 programs thusly: “Critics of Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, a socialist, were supported by NED grants for years.
In short, NED’s programs are in sync with the basic needs and objectives of the New World Order’s economic globalization.
Interference in elections
As described in the “Elections” and “Interventions” chapters, NED successfully manipulated elections in Nicaragua in 1990 and Mongolia in 1996; helped to overthrow democratically elected governments in Bulgaria in 1990 and Albania in 1991 and 1992; and worked to defeat the candidate for prime minister of Slovakia in 2002 who was out of favor in Washington. And from 1999 to 2004, NED heavily funded members of the opposition to President Hugo Chavez in Venezuela to subvert his rule and to support a referendum to unseat him.
The Endowment has made its weight felt in the electoral-political process in numerous other countries.
In virtually all the countries named above, in whose electoral process NED intervened, there had already been free and fair elections held. The problem, from NED’s point of view, is that the elections had been won by political parties not on NED’s favorites list.
“We support people who otherwise do not have a voice in their political system,” said Louisa Coan, a NED program officer. This, however only applies to US-obedient oppositions.
The Endowment played an important role in the Iran-Contra affair of the 1980s.
NED also mounted a multi-level campaign to fight the leftist insurgency in the Philippines in the mid-1980s, funding a host of private organizations, including unions and the media. This was a replica of a typical CIA operation of pre-NED days.
The NED, like the CIA before it, calls what it does supporting democracy. The governments and movements whom the NED targets call it destabilization.
