Edward Griffin 27 April 2017: Israel implied that it was responsible for the missile strikes at the Damascus airport in Syria that they claim was a depot for weapons imported from Iran by Hezbollah militants. Hezbollah is allied with Assad’s forces and is fighting against ISIS. Earlier this week, Israeli forces bombed a military camp for pro-Syrian forces. There is no doubt that Israel is waging war against Syria.
Israel is main suspect as for the bombardment of Damaskus´ International Airport
Israel Is Prime Suspect In Bombing of Damascus Airport As It Wages War On Syria
The Israeli Intelligence Minister, Israeli Katz, told the Israeli army radio, “I can confirm that the Syrian incident is completely related to Israel’s policy of acting to prevent Iran’s smuggling of advanced weapons across Syria to Hezbollah.”
“The Prime Minister has said that whenever we receive news that indicates an intention to transfer advanced weapons to Hezbollah, we will act”. An Israeli military spokeswoman declined to comment.
Sputnik 28 April 2017: It seems that an attack that took place near Damascus´ International Airport on April 27 did not disturb the activities of the facility, and the airport continues to work as usual .
Stephen Lendman 27 April 2017: Commenting on Israel’s overnight aggression near the Damascus international airport, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: “Moscow condemns acts of aggression against Syria and regards them as impermissible and running counter to international law.”
It’ll take much more than that to halt Israeli aggression, supported and encouraged by Washington, NATO, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and other regional rogue states.
The Israelis do what they want with impunity, knowing Washington backs its high crimes.
DEBKAfile 27 April 2017: Early Thursday, April 26, a mixed Syrian-Iranian-Hizballah force embarked on a general offensive in southern Syria ready for a leap on Israel’s Golan border. They moved forward in the face of Israeli warnings that were relayed from Moscow to Tehran and Hizballah.
This latest warning was issued by Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who is visiting the Russian capital this week to attend an international security conference. After meeting Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Defense Minister Gen. Sergey Shogun, the Israeli minister stated clearly on Wednesday: “Israel will not allow the concentration of Iranian and Hizballah forces on its Golan border.”
It was evident that a decision had been taken in Moscow, Tehran, Damascus and Beirut to ignore Lieberman’s warning.
(Putin has even called Israel a rogue state).
DEBKAfile’s military sources report that early Thursday, Shiite militias under the command of Iranian Revolutionary Guards officers, alongside Hizballah troops, organized as the Southern Shield Brigade, launched their offensive at Mt. Hermon southwest of Damascus, on their way to the Syrian-Israeli Golan border in the region of Quneitra.
The Syrian contingents taking part in this push are the Syrian army’s elite 42nd Brigade and elements of the 4th Mechanized Division.
Their first objective is to capture a string of villages held by Syrian rebel groups in the region of Hadar on the Hermon slopes.
I wrote the following on 1 March 2017
Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman: The next time the Syrians use ground to air missles agains our planes attacking in Syria, we will destroy their bases without hesitation – with or without Russian troops. And he has added: Russia Today 25 Jan. 2017: The (Israeli) army will stop at nothing to defeat the enemy in conflicts to come, and they won’t stop until the adversary “waves a white flag.” He also slammed attempts by third parties to meddle.
“Israel is strong, but it’s indestructible now” (Binyamin Netanyahu).
Sputnik 1 March 2017: Avigdor Lieberman: Every time we identify an attempt to smuggle game-changing weapons, we will act to thwart it. There will be no compromise on this issue.”
Israel is not planning action against Russian forces in Syria, but if the Russian army, whether deliberately or unintentionally, grants Iran and Hizballah military protection, as they counted on having at T4, Israel would not hesitate to disabuse them.
The Kremlin got the message and, a few hours after the Israeli air strikes, Israeli Ambassador Cary Koren was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. There was no official protest, but Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov firmly informed the ambassador that Moscow would not tolerate any further Israeli attacks on Syrian bases where Russian forces were present.
DEBKAfile 19 April 2017 Syria has moved all its fighter aircraft to the Russian Hmeimim air base in Latakia three weeks after 59 US Tomahawk cruise missiles knocked out one-fifth of its air force at the Shayrat base, in retaliation for a chemical attack on civilians in Idlib. This was reported Wednesday night, April 19, by the Pentagon. The Russian high command in Syria has its seat at that base.
Debkafile’s military sources (Mossad) report that the Syrian air force will operate henceforth under Russian protection and behind the advanced Russian S-300 and S-400 air defense shield without fear of US reprisals.
The time for it has long ago been planned by the London City no doubt.
