ADDENDUM: Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 24, attended the award ceremony for the Russian Geographic Society in Moscow.
Putin says Jokingly: THE BORDERS OF RUSSIA DO NOT END ANYWHERE.
In Danish there is an old proverb:”GOOD JOKE IS EARNEST SPEECH”!!
Note how Putin uses the old dictator trick: Kissing the children, In Danish there is a Proverb: “WHO TAKES THE HAND OF THE CHILD TAKES THE HEART OF ITS PARENTS”!!
Last night, the Syrian Air Force delivered air strikes on the Turkish Armed Forces near the ISIS controlled town of al-Bab in northern Syria, according to local sources in the Aleppo province.
The Turkish military confirmed that three Turkish soldiers were killed and 10 others wounded (one of them seriously) were as result of an air strikes thought to be carried by the Syrian military
At the same, non-official Turkish and Syrian sources said that the attack resulted in killing over 5 Turkish soldiers and wounding of 16 others.
Air strikes delivered on the Turkish Armed Forces by Syrian warplanes is likely a signal that Damascus will oppose to the ongoing military build-up of Turkish army in northern Syria.
Danish State TV video text today reported the same incident.
South Front 24 Nov. 2016, AlMasdarNews reports: The Turkish Army intervened in the Latakia Governorate on Wednesday when the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a surprise offensive against the jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front).
According to a military source in the Latakia Governorate, the Turkish Army fired several artillery shells towards the town of Nawara, where the Syrian Arab Army and National Defense Forces (NDF) were positioned on Wednesday. While no casualties were reported, the heavy shelling forced the Syrian Arab Army and their allies to withdraw their assault in northern Latakia.
What´s behind Turkey´s illegal invasion of Syria
The Financial Times 13 Oct. 2013: It is Turkey’s tilt towards Russia and, to a degree, Iran, which is the main change in the strategic equation on the crowded battlefield of north-west Syria.
Turkey’s main goal in Syria now is to prevent Syrian Kurdish fighters from consolidating an autonomous territory below its border.
In late August, the Turkish army launched its first real incursion into Syria, spearheading a rebel force officials in Ankara say numbered 3,000. This thrust pushed ISIS out of the so-called Manbij pocket of north-west Syria, with Turkey regaining control of 98km of its porous border. But the primary aim was to prevent the Syrian Kurds fighting Isis from moving westwards across the river Euphrates to join up their eastern and western territories.
Mr Erdogan made up with Mr Putin, ending a rift opened when Turkey shot down a Russian jet that strayed over its border from Syria last November. Russia gave Turkey a free hand against Syrian Kurdish forces to whom it had offered temporary and opportunistic support. Turkey deployed Syrian rebel forces needed to defend Aleppo to take Jarabulus on the west bank of the Euphrates and push on southwards.
It looks as though Russia can continue to pulverise rebel Aleppo.
US-Turkish relations are strained since the “coup d´état” against Pres. Erdogan – many incl. Erdogan´s enemy, Gülen, think it was a false flag as a jumping board for total dictatorship – and because the US supports the Kurdish PYD.
Turkey founded, trained, financed, equipped ISIS alongside with the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar – and uses ISIS as an excuse to take parts of Syria in its fight against the Kurds – and in order to restore Erdogan´s dream: to restore The Ottoman Empire. It seems that Erdogan has bad relations with everybody, including the EU, but himself – although he is now being tolerated by Putin:
Insurge Intelligence 16 Sept. 2016: Ahmet Sait Yayla was Chief of the Counter-Terrorism and Operations Division of Turkish National Police between 2010 and 2012. He now has blown the whistle on President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s deliberate sponsorship of the Islamic State (ISIS) as a geopolitical tool to expand Turkey’s regional influence and sideline his political opponents at home.
But this is more dangerous: US seeking a cause for war with Russia in Syria before 20 Jan. 2017
Veterans Today 23 Nov. 2016: and Russia Today 23 Nov, 2016: Highly estimated Greg Copley, president of the International Strategic Studies http://euro-med.dk/?p=30694Association interviewed by Russia Today: I think we’ve seen the Obama White House pushing harder and harder to get the US involved in the war in Syria, which it was complicit and starting. The Obama administration tried in 2013 to get Syria to cross the red line (false flag Ghouta) and do something which would evoke a US military response. That failed. But the Obama administration has never given up on that objective.
Gregory Copley: It is becoming more and more ludicrous by the day. What we do see is that the Obama administration is moving as fast as it can to create a casus belli for the US to get militarily involved directly in Syria and in Yemen before it leaves office. We see the growth of unsubstantiated claims by the State Department in particular and attempts to bring the US into a direct confrontation as it continues its claim that the Syrian government is the cause of all the problems. We can expect to see this escalate continuingly until January 20.
Without a doubt, Obama is now under strong pressure from the neoconservatives to attack Russia – and NATO is preparing for war:
The Daily Mail 7 Nov. 2016:“NATO chiefs, thrown into a panic by fears that Russian President Vladimir Putin might attack the West, are scrambling to put together a force of 300,000 troops which they can put on ‘high alert. It would currently take a half of a year. If Putin believes this is serious he will hardly hesitate to deliver a preemptive blow. On 18 Oct. 2016, Putin said: “We are in impending grave danger”.
Obama has resisted the Neocons so far – but the question is: Will the London City and its Council on Foreign Relations command Obama to confront Russia in Syria – after they lost their puppet war hawk, Hillary Clinton?
How far will Putin allow his 2 allies, Turkey and Syria to go on combating each other? He is allowing Syria to be more or less levelled with the ground.
And will Obama allow that his “children” the ISIS are being destroyed/chased to Libya?
Trump has promised to fight ISIS alongside with Russia – but that man is totally unreliable: Has already broken several essential election campaign promises.
