Addendum: In the EU Parliament, Nigel Farage said that people do not want “The United States of Europe”. They do not want EU bureaucracy that is controlled by the big bankers – but national democracy and cooperation among sovereign European states. Greece is no longer a sovereign state, but is ruled by a troika (the IMF, the European Central Bank and the European Commission). The elections are for national democracy or EU bureaucracy.
Deutsche Welle 13 Jan. 2013:In Greece even the middle class is suffering because of the crisis. Soup kitchens and food donations for the needy are being organized – even in fancy suburbs of Athens – primarily funded by private donations
EurActiv 10 Jan. 2014: The approval of the EU leadership is lowest in Greece (19%), Cyprus (21%) and Spain (27% – 59% before the crisis), according to Gallup poll released on 8 January. Other countries with critically low approval ratings include the United Kingdom (29%), Sweden (30%) or the Czech Republic (30%).
The EU is still backed by a majority of Luxembourgish citizens, whose level of approval is the highest, at 67%. But only three other member states show a majority of people endorsing the EU leadership – Germany (59% – 99% of Germans are for the Euro), Belgium (56%) and Denmark (50%).
1. How silly can an EU Commissioner be? EU Commissioner Viviane Reding Press Release 7 Jan. 2014 (excerpt): “2014 will be the year citizens will have a momentous choice to make. Europe is at a cross-roads, and at the European Parliament elections in May, they will decide which course it will take in the coming years (??).
The European Commission now even gets to analyse and comment on Member States’ draft budgetary plans before national Parliaments have their say. That is a huge leap forward.
We need a true political union. To me this means that we need to build a United States of Europe with the (unelected) Commission as government and two chambers – the European Parliament and a “Senate” of Member States. But there are of course other opinions.
All of us need to get the message across: European Parliament elections are more important than national elections.
This will be our best weapon against the Eurosceptics: to explain to our citizens that their vote really matters. That the big decisions on policies in the European Union are made by the parties of the centre. And that therefore it would be a waste of their vote to use it as a protest vote, by choosing Eurosceptics.
If we show citizens that we take them seriously, if we point to the options on the table and make clear that it is for them to make their own decisions, we have a chance. And then, I am convinced that a turnout of more than 50% is possible in these elections.”
Left:”Dear goose, be calm and come nearer! We are both Europeans!”
Comment: Reding tells us there is just one choice: the EU super state. Protest is waste of votes!!! This is Soviet democracy.
At a time when it makes the very EU-skeptic Europeans see red Reding is silly enough to tell that the EU is going to make the hated superstate, reducing their national parliaments to nothing. She even has the insolence to tell us that this means more democracy for the individual citizens!! Maybe, she finds it very painful that so few vote at the EU elections that she is trying to make Europeans believe they are going to vote for or against something really important this time. In that case she is stupid enough to tell us that votes for eurosceptics are wasted anyway – for the pro-Superstate parties make the decisions anyway without listening to skeptics!! The Telegraph 8 Jan. 2014 has more comments on Reding´s speech
2. How arrogant can a German Foreign Minister of the decaying financial/political 4. Reich of the Nazis (EU) be?
EUbusiness 9 Jan. 2014 : New German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier: “The crisis in public finances is not over yet… the economic crisis could activate centrifugal political forces that could prove dangerous to the European Union as a whole.”
Right: Greek protesters
The bloc is witnessing a major rise in anti-EU sentiment over the crisis, which caused a rift between poorer member states requiring bailouts and their richer brethren that have to stump up the cash.
Anti-German sentiment has been on the rise in particular in Greece in recent years over EU paymaster Germany’s perceived role in pushing for severe austerity measures in return for the country’s 240-billion euro ($330 billion) bailout.
Social discontent is expected to bolster eurosceptics and far-right parties in European parliamentary elections in May.
“We must not avoid confrontation with populists, nationalists, with these brainless people who call themselves eurosceptics,” Steinmeier said. “They all promote anything national without making proposals of their own,” he added.
3.The biggest bank in the world: EU´s taxpaid ESM
Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten 7. Dezember 2013: Quietly, financial elites have brought the Euro-politicians to give up large parts of national sovereignty in the context of the debt crisis. Now the ESM (European Stability Mechanism, which is a license-exempt Super Bank) is to be developed into a bank with numerous privileges. It will redistribute the money of European taxpayers – so that banks can collect a portion of the debt (interest).
The existence of the ESM is almost completely unknown and, therefore, people are not even aware of the destructive power which was founded with the 2012 ESM mega-bank (!) It will exert influence on the future fate of Germany, of all of Europe, and of its citizens. As a result, the ESM bank is, with its registered capital of € 700 billion, (Article 8 ESMV in contract commenting on 04.02.2012), without doubt, the largest bank in the world.
4. How fraudulent can EU Commissioners be?
Since 1999 when the entire Santer EU Commission resigned en masse due to corruption, there has been a Justice Commissioner, Jacques Barrot, condemned to 8 months of imprisonment due to embezzlement and – as Nigel Farage pointed out, the Barroso Commission also has former Communist ministers (video below)
Tax fraud: EU-Commissioner De Gucht must appear in court
Deutsche Wirtschaftsnachrichten 9. Nov. 2013: The mighty EU trade commissioner is said not to have declared stock exchange gains worth 1,2 million euros. The Treasury speaks of tax fraud.
5. A top EU official said the future EU-wide public prosecutor may expand into other domains aside from combatting fraud.
EUObserver 28 Nov. 2013: The EPPO [European Public Prosecutor Office] will possibly, probably, expand to other competencies, to the others crimes, which are by nature transnational.”
The office will have the power to launch its own investigations and prosecute people in any member state that signs up.
It will be able to search people’s homes, probe their computers, seize objects, intercept telephone conversations, and freeze financial transactions.
But MPs in some national parliaments, like the Netherlands and Sweden, are deeply opposed. The United Kingdom and Ireland are not concerned because they opted out from the beginning. Denmark will also not join. 9 countries must join if the project is to succeed.
A commission official said it is possible the EU prosecutor will be able to investigate and prosecute offences alone, without any involvement from member states.
All the while the EU cackles more democracy and the citizen in the centre (election propaganda), it administrates and disregards its citizens more and more.
Collective Evolution 5 June 2013: The European Commission is changing the European Union’s plant legislation. This move has sparked a heavy opposition from many, saying that the measure will threaten seed diversity and favour large agrochemical businesses. This new law creates new powers to classify and regulate all plant life anywhere in Europe.
Acc. to the “Plant Reproductive Material Law”, it will be illegal to grow, reproduce, or trade any vegetable seed or tree that has not been been tested and approved by the government, more specifically the “EU Plant Variety Agency.”An annual fee must also be forwarded to the agency if growers would like to keep what they grow on the list.
The new law prevents home gardeners from growing their own plants from non-regulated seeds. If they did, they would now be considered criminals. What’s even more disturbing is that all heirloom seeds will be criminalized. This means that saving seeds from from one generation to the next will become a criminal act!
This law was written for the needs of the globalized farm seed industry (Monsanto). This law seems to be an adaption to the upcoming TTIP/already existing free trade agreement between the EU and Canada
